Hey !!!!!!!!!!!! missed you doll Guess what, you were in my mind just now when I found this other website for teachers of speaking

(I'm preparing for my exam and I'm really confused! there are so many topics ! Tell me, did you do yours?? What was it about??
I don't wanna do the role play thing because I want to evaluate my students individually, what do you think??)

Re: Website for listening (for TEACHERS and STUDENTS)
Well, my exam was in about a couple of weeks ago, but don't know most of students did not do well, thought it was too difficult for them??
So the topic was about a man who was doing a research of how do children aquire their speech, and there was someone else on the tape answering all his questions. So in general the exam went as follows: students first have to tick the right answer, for example :
Listen and tick the appropriate answern wich do you think best summarisez the text:
1_ kids and learning their First Language.
2_ The major Phases of language acquisition.
3-The process through which kids develop their language.
Of course, through listening to the tape recording several times, students are going to be aware that num 3 is the suitable answer.
After the ticking process, there comes the turn of comrehension questions( usually related to the tape) , such as :
Do you think that kids are able to communicate properly as soon as they are born?
How many stages of language acquisition are there.
When do babies begin a new stage of laguage development?
What is meant by telegraphic speech.
Plus some extra filling the gap activities. Students are asked to listen and fill in the gaps.
As a final process, here you have to test the students writing production (Post_litening phase), in such case, students were asked to write a paragraph about the following, according to your previous knowledge, Dont you think that learning a second language is as like as learning your first lge when you were a kid?, Were you motivated to learn new words at the very begining? Think of similarities and diffrences in the process of kids and adults language learning.
If you have any commentaries, feel free to share sister
Hey, i also advice you to check Just Listening n Speaking (the one that you posted) , it has good activities .
Much love for you dear

Re: Website for listening (for TEACHERS and STUDENTS)
Thank you soooooo much my dear for taking time and answering me !!!
I really love this method, especially the stages and giving much importance to comprehension (I'll try to do that for next year's students inchaAllah).
Please dear, do email me the track you've used (mp3)
I'm gonna take a look at the book (though when I tried it they told me that the British accent in it was difficult I don't know if they are lazy or if it's me who keeps on listening to them and spoiling them
