Caracas,

In Spanish, Snails = Caracas!
It's a game of words!
Glad that u tried!
By the way, Paris means "mud area"!!

"To make it still turn even when there's no wind or motion "???
The word 'helicoidal' is so puzzeling...

Re: Conundrum of the Night
Okay, Sassy!
As I just let the conundrum hanging for a few days, in order to post a new riddle, I give the answer:
As I studied genetics at the university, I thought about the blueprint sustaining LIFE; every living thing , from cell to dino, is encoded in a common molecule, though the "text" differs from one species to another And this marvelous molecule's structure was found out to be helicoidal ( a double helix) back in 1953 by James Watson, Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins, which granted them the 1962 Nobel Prize for their momentum elucidation of the shape of the secret of all life: DNA

Re: Conundrum of the Night
My Goodness !! That was indeed my literary mind that answered you first
When i first read the word 'helicoidal' i was sure it has to do with the motion of a propeller ..
But machaAllah, your answer is a more elaborated one i dare say

Re: Conundrum of the Night
Ok, i'll reduce myself to ridicule another time
What looks like half of a watermelon is half of a pumpkin
I swear to God it does, it's in our fridge right now and it looks the same
And since i wanna win so much this time, the answer might be: the OTHER half of a watermelon or cantaloup
