Hello, many students do not care about what we call plagiarism
"We need a dictionary, let's define the verb "to plagiarize".The Cambridge English Dictionary says it means:to use another person's idea or a part of their work and pretend that it is your own:
The book contains numerous plagiarized passages.
If you compare the two books side by side, it is clear that the author of the second has plagiarized
Forms of Plagiarism :
1.Downloading an assignment from an online source and submitting it as your own work.
2.Copying a section of a book or an article and submitting it as your own work.
3.Quoting from a source 'word by word', without using quotation marks is plagiarism.
4. Copying the written expressions of someone else without acknowledgement."
so how to avoid this crime?????
ohhhh
"To avoid cheating other's work always make it clear where the information comes from, and we must "Quote, Paraphrase and Summarize"
1.To quote means to copy exactly a portion of a text, with the purpose of presenting the author's actual words.needs to be cited.
2.To paraphrase is to put another person’s words in your own words. You may wish to paraphrase in order to maintain your particular style of phrasing things. needs to be cited
3.Summarizing is condensing another person’s words so that you present the basics of what has been said. A common instance of summarizing is annotating a list of bibliographic sources for a paper. The summary or annotation presents the heart of the material being described.also needs to be cited.
Citation;
If you are citing a book:
Author last name, first name. Title. Place of publication: publisher, year published.
eg:Allison, Peter. Whatever You Do, Don't Run. Guilford, CT: Lyons, 2008. "

Re: © All rights reserved ©
A very interesting topic Pamela, thank you ! Apparently, no one cares if they "steal" or pretend that what they post here or anywhere is actually someone else's work ! We should be aware of this issue ! Sometimes I copy things like "comments, articles, sayings quotes" but i don't mention the source ! It's just because I'm lazy, that's all ! I am against copying something and pretending it's your work, it's LOW !
P.S: All those lines above are mine hehe
