What you're looking for is called "gherkin". It's a kind of cucumber (the right spelling is "cucumber") which is a long green vegetable pickled eaten in salads ( generally you find it sold with olives )

It's where you find the order like that : Today _ Tomorrow _ and then comes Yesterday. Think about it just a little bit Nounette and you'll find the letter O in it too.
