TIME MANAGEMENT TO GET PREPARED FOR THE EXAMS
Salaam and Hi All, I realize that taking exams is a stressful time for everyone, and thatfear, desperation, and even the desire to just give up are emotionsthat we may battle with as we try to prepare for each exam. Some ofyou will succeed in this first exam, but many of you will be takingthe remedial (synthese) exam(s) for one module or another.
There are no shortcuts! Studying is really the only way to succeed. But there are some tools that may help. The first is managing yourtime well. Don't waste your time worrying! If you are worrying aboutall the things you haven't done, it means you're not being productive. Here are some other problems that we need to overcome:
Procrastination: This means wasting time doing everything EXCEPT whatyou are supposed to do. For example, you have an exam to study forbut you decide to clean out your closet instead!
Perfectionism: "I don't have time to do all of this work, so I won'tdo anything at all!"
Negative strategies: "Instead of studying, I'm going to find betterways to cheat."
Here are some tips on how to get through this:
1) Make a list of everything you need to do. You may want to makemore than one list.
2) Keep a calendar. Write down on the calendar the items from yourlist so you can organize your time. Do the easiest high-prioritytasks first so that you get them out of the way, leaving time at theend to focus on the harder tasks without feeling the pressure of somuch to do. Make sure you are realistic about how much time it willtake to do each task.
3) Set priorities. Know which tasks are most important (highpriority) and which can be put aside for later.
4) Learn to say "No!" If you are one of those people who says "yes"every time someone asks you to do something for them, you need tolearn when to say "no".
5) Just do it! Know that even if you can't finish everything, if youwork hard and organize yourself, you will do more than you think youcould. Do your best.
6) RELAX! When the time comes to take the exam, don't be nervous orafraid. At that point, there is nothing you can do about the thingsyou didn't prepare for. Just read each question carefully and takeeach item step by step. Answer the easiest questions first. Answerthe questions that are worth the most points next. Don't waste timeon questions you don't know (leave them for the end). Use all of thetime you are given. If you have 2 hours, don't leave early. As theproverb says:"Winners never quit, and quitters never win!"
7) Lastly, pace yourself during the exam. Look at all the questionsat the beginning and figure out how much time you have to answer eachone, them stick to your schedule! If you give yourself half an hourfor the first part of the exam, one hour for the longer questions, andhalf an hour for the rest--don't spend 45 minutes on the first partand lose time at the end! Also, be sure to give yourself time to copyyour notes. See you in a couple of weeks (insha'Allah...God willing). Hope for thebest and you will find it!

Re: TIME MANAGEMENT TO GET PREPARED FOR THE EXAMS
That was a very useful lesson on how to manage preparing for an exam and it's also very true.( I bet it's from your own experiences).
The problem that I have is that I forgot what I've learnt or memorised as soon as I try to recall them during exams & then I got nervous & feel ery hot
& I don't feel the time passing during that..
Finally I end up with few time to work in & mixed up information.
So, you see I don't have time preparing the exams , I don that just like what your advice. but the problem is when I start recalling...
Is there any advice for my case?

Hello Messi!
Concerning memorisation, u dont have to worry much about that because when u read ( not for the sake of reading only) but to understand mainly, your mind, in this case, is automatically memorising the important informations. So what u have to do is to be cool and to take it asy BUT the later doesnt mean that u gonna be careless about yr studies, NO on the contrary the best thing is to study and take it easy at the same time, this way u gonna like it and feel confortable about it so that in the exams' period u wont have over stress.
Remember one thing, the real work doesnt come over night and day but along the year.
Salam!
