Second year,LMD, Civilisation' Syllabus.

As a continuation of my former topic, I'm giving you, here, the syllabus of the second year LMD . So…here we go!


First: British Civilization :



1- The Industrial Revolution.
2- The Social Impacts of the Industrial Revolution.
3- The Victorian Age.
4- The Political Impacts of the Industrial Revolution.
At the end of this semester ,as the usual, you will be asked to prepare a research project, so these are some titles :

* The Victorian Age
* The 2nd Empire English (India, South Africa, Ireland, Middle East, Palestine & Egypt).
N.B: each element from these above is a subject and a course as well. I mean, India is a research and a course as well .
* The Electoral System in Britain (general election).
- 1st Part Historical background.
- 2nd only the system itself.
* The Political Parties (conservatives, Liberals, The Labours).
* Chartism 1839-1848.
* The Campaigns Vs The Corn Law.
N.B: Underlined titles are divided each is an independent research



Second: American Civilization :

* U.S Expands to Pacific.
* Westward Expansion.
* The Monroe Doctrine.
* The Indians.
* Black Slavery.
* The Civil War (The war against slavery).

and the same for the Research projects :

- The American Dream.
- Thomas Jefferson (2nd Amer President) (Domestic policy-ideas and beliefs)
- The American South & the American North.
- Abraham Lincoln (excerpt from his speech in his electoral -1958).
- The Abolitionists (Amer anti-slavery society "Henry Brewster...)
- The Underground Railroad.
- Frederick Douglas.
- The Myth of the Frontier.
- The Gold Rush.
- The Jacksonian Era (Andrew Jackson).
- The Monroe Doctrine. (America's Hegemony).

That will be great bro ...if i get the grammar syllabus i'll
study all the courses before the start of the new year inchallah, and you know
what?!..even if we won't have them it'll be O.K ,it's always a plus.
And about the other modules i just want to have an idea of what we are going to
deal with especially the new ones, and thanx again.
