Discouragement Empty Discouragement

Post by glourious Sat Feb 26, 2011 4:59 pm

Discouragement is one of the most important enemies of single people for a very simple reason: we don't have anyone to help us change our perspective.
It's easy to feel downhearted. Most of the time, discouragement is the result of not getting our wants met long-term. Most of us can recover from disappointment, but when disappointments pile up or there's no sign of hope, that's when pessimism gets a foothold

So what do you think we can do in this situation?

It happend to me once when I had many "things" going on in my head and I started to feel downhearted as you said ...One of my dear friends advised me to go and see a shrink ....it seemed like a stupid idea but eventually I tried it and it worked with me just fine...he made me feel better and focus on the positive and effective side of... everything.
I know that not all people can go to a psychiatric...but it works...

MAY YOUR DISCOURAGEMENT TURN TO A ENCOURAGEMENT

Whatever is making you feel so conflicted right now is not going to last...... u should remember that: "Nothing lasts forever." and besides, there are lots of other people in the world right now with worst situations than yours (starving children who really ARE going to die, whether they want to or not). Stop being so pessimistic and spend time on things that make you happy or relaxed!!!!!! cou7a

Hello guys and thanks for your posts Smile
My aim behind opening such kind of topics is to discuss one of those moments when the inward feelings of human beings seems to take over the human mind. It is a time when people seem not to think stright and alienate themselves from society.
The situation can be pretty difficult especially on adolescents as it could lead to sucuide or other terrible consequences.
I know this is kind of a phelosophical topic & you may not have understood my aim but I appreciate your contrebution.
Thank you messi for sharing your personal experience. Having a friend like your to give you such a good advice was a fortunate thing.
Thank you Asma for your preaching but there is nothing personal in this topic.

Best Regards
