Beauty..Have you seen any?
To a regular mind, the first thought to pass by when meeting the word"beauty" may be a picture of nature.Or let's say a small part of it as a scene of a sunset that sends the warmth into the heart of the beholder.Or it may be a musical harmony that melts through ears of hearers to keep repeating itself even after when it fades away in air.If these are our examples of what all beauty might mean to us then, i don't know whether we'd be envied for our comfortable ignorence, or petied for burried in illusions of happiness.
Beauty, then, is simply defined as the combination of: shape, colour, sound..that pleases the senses. Thanks to light.Because of having capacities to receive, and a mind to perceive; we got to realize beauty, or at least we think we did so far.For what if doubt sneaks up into the hollow chests of us welcoming chilly wonders?Fears that what we've seen of beautiful things are just not what they seem to be.Or further, worse ones like we were blind enough to miss seeing the the real beauty in what we thought it wasn't beautiful at all. Thus, the old shallow belief of beauty is as tainted to us as the Picture to Dorian Gray.
Does beauty exist only in promised paradise?Or we've been blessed with some.
Emerson said:"..even a corpse has its own beauty"
"Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them" added David Hume.
And Ben Jonson before:"In small proportions we just beauty see, and in short measures life may perfect be"
well, doubtless that they saw the world with better eyes, therefore they wrote about it with wiser pens. But i'd crave to understand true beauty by simpler words. To this, i'm a thirsty child that wishes to quench his little curiousity.

Re: Beauty..Have you seen any?
well .it is really nice what you have written and to help you they say in french la beauté est dans les yeux de celui qui regarde so we cannot give an exact definition to beauty and say this is it .it depends on the one who is looking.

I advice you to read the psycho Analysis of Freud, you will discover the beautiful of each one by his behaviours,it is not a game but believe me it is good science.
the beautiful,i can feel it from your way of writing.

I think that we cannot give an exact definition to beauty , because each one of us has his own point of view about it. It is something that we cannot agree all about it because what is beautiful for me can be ugly for you and vice versa. For me, the beautiful thing is the abnormal one, the beautiful thing is the thing that takes you to another world when seeing , it is the thing that exceeds all the limits and goes beyond the beauty itself.

Re: Beauty..Have you seen any?
The Youth I've always told you you're a poet man
I don't know what beauty is but I know it isn't a word neither a shallow feeling. Beauty can't be taught, not explained nor defined. Words do not have access to its nature nor to its core. We are never ignorant when it comes to beauty yet nor a wise we can be. It's not even about meaning but about the "waw" effect. Beauty is what tickles the heart and shivers the body; it gets through the eye though a sightless can see it.
Here's what I can say about knowing it's out of the grip of words.

I rome in the bulk of history
Lost you’ll be !
Lost to be found somewhere
Near or far
To find what’s strange
Strange is beauty
To find beauty
Still is the beautiful strange
Strangely beautiful is to find beauty
Strange is beautiful but when found
No longer beautiful strange when found
To lose one’s beauty in strange beauty
To be lost in beauty is to be strangely found
Strange beauty found after being lost
To lose one’s strangeness when meeting beauty
A meeting lost in the originality of its beauty

In my opinion, you can't discover The beauty of human beings^if you don't dive in their souls. Souls are keys of beauty.
Thank you mate, was nice what you had wrote.

Re: Beauty..Have you seen any?
well i have read a book les mille et une nuits and until now i did not find a book that speaks and describes beauty that way .When you read it you feel that you are living in the kingdom of beauty i advice you to read some stories from it if you want to experience that feeling and .the most i like are:zien el mawassif and the story of fleure de grenade et sourire de lune.
