Mother Tree
I'm a dependent green leaf in Autumn
Clinging to a branch, fearing the bottom
The weather seemed to dislike my persitence
It made an oath to bring me down and hence
The wind came blowing and showed no mercy
It had all the branches dancing on a sad symphony
On my right and left, I saw leaves falling
I looked up and saw a dark cloud coming
The leaves beneath me put on a yellowish dress
That arouse in me feelings I can't express
It was the color of grief and death
It was another outcome of nature's wrath
My greness was fed by my MOTHER TREE
Suprisingly, I liked being dependent and not free
I wouldn't trade my green color with theirs
Because as soon as you're down, no one cares
I suddenly felt drops on my skin; I looked up
And saw that the weather called for back up
Rain came down like sparkling swords
It wounded all including barons and lords
Under my feet, there was a stream as if a snake
It was running without taking a break
All the yellow leaves followed its lead
How would their lives be now that they are freed?
