Lost in Myself

Traveling in my mind, turning left and right
Roving my eyes in that cosmic space and vast
Wandering in that dim and bleak tract
Pondering about my day and my night

What is this impending hurricane
Holding its furious wind and rain
Rushing its agony and pain
On my frail and bare brain

What are these anguishes and agonies
Which are squeezing my arteries
And chasing after my memories
Like troops of enemies

What are these solemn smiles
And these sombre eyes
What are these haggard looks
Which rendered my face like dusted books

Is there any shred of hope which does flicker
To take me out of this painful sorrow and bitter
To lighten my land for ever
And make my life glitter

I look for a scrap of goodness
But I find nothing but harshness
I seek for a crumb of mildness
But nothing I find but cruelness

I lift my head up to see
Remote stars smile to me
They thrill me in a wee
In fact they were three

'Moon! Take me into your bosom
And make my life blossom
Hold my hand to show me the way
So that I will not be astray!'

'Take out of me this remorse
Help me unleash on that force
Let me, that ecstasy, restore
And never lose it anymore'

Hope does sprout inside
Sparkles deep and outside
And a voice does scream out loud:
‘You are not alone; I am by your side!’
