Happiness

A bird in a golden cage was asked:
What is happiness, where it can be found?
"In my freedom", he said,
"I will never be sad."

A bedridden man says:
" When I recuperate my health,
and restore all my strength,
the happiest, I will be on this earth."

A bankrupted man adds:
"My happiness with my richness went away
with the fortune I had one day
when I used to boast and say
'no one will take from me this, no way.' "

A traveler from far cries:
"Near my children and wife,
I can spend in harmony all my life."

A mother looks at her babies and smiles:
"In the laughter of their eyes
all my happiness lays."

A lover says in mournful voice:
"Happiness for me laid
in the arms of my beloved
For whom I can fly without wings
if seeing his face it means."

Happiness, all their replies, hears
Gracefully she smiles and responds:
"Poor creatures you are
to chase after that remote star.
Happiness, in your hands will lay
just if you pick that star from the sky."

Amazing chinda! wow! You got yourself a huge fan to your writings. I loved the idea of the converstaion and that of relativity ( everyone defines a concept according to his own and according to the situation he/she is in - Very realistic) Keep on writing and never ever stop. Congratulations, it's great.

I like your poem very intersting and fresh..and this is my answer:

A heavy knock on the door of a rules -free poet wakes him from the delirium of his lines
"Open your door..listen to me..save me from the hands of yellow poets" says the shape facing his opened wooden door
"Poet I need you rebel voice..let me haunt you and your free soul..let me seize your tongue and makes it mine..Speak of what i really am..Speak of me..of the red earth Iam".These words from the tongue of the sublime shape sinks the poet in his frenzy deeper and deeper.
" i am happiness...the ever-persecuted, the ever-wanted, the ever-wished...they all..all in their yellow lines talk about me, they describe me, scrutinize me, they attribute me to far lands, to utopias, to fortunes, to..to lovers with whom i have no link. They write i'm far..I'm star"
" yes, indeed..indeed this is what centuries of verse 'versent dans des poemes jaunes' "answers the young obscure poet

" so poet free me..free me from extrvagance..from idealism..bring me near..near hearts and wishes...I'm tired of being far..from being inaccessible..from being impossible..tell them i'm near..i'm just here...let them hear my whispers...i'm just around"says happiness

" Oh..happiness I'm not so different from them...I'm looking for you..i'm waiting for you...thuogh rebel Iam...and you come you knock on my door..no...no... It's not true i know where you are.i know..you are in father's read books..in the smell of y red earth..in the touch of the fingers of my son...so near you are..so near"

very nice chinda , keep it up dear mate. i liked very much the different meanings you gave to happiness. It is indeed a complicated concept to be defined.

princess your words are wonderful, no comment would be sufficient to describe the beauty of language used.....
